What Sportsmanship means to me
Sportsmanship means teamwork to me. I believe this because if you
can work together with other people and when you win, you will not brag about to
other people. Also with good teamwork you can win and have fun. With teamwork
you can have good sportsmanship.
Sportsmanship also means making friends to me. It can help make
friends because if you are nice, people will like you. And if you beat them and
do not brag or rub the loss in their face there is a good chance that you will
become friends. Good sportsmanship can really make friends for you.
Sportsmanship means competition to me. I believe this because
without worrying about bragging you can have fun
playing against other kids and they can have fun with you. Competition can also
get you better and learn more about people and the game you are playing. Good
sportsmanship can help you become a better player and get you more competition.
Sportsmanship also means integrity. If you have integrity people
will want to play you because a lot of people do not like playing with cheaters
and unfair people. When you can admit you did something wrong like committing a
foul (in basketball) people will like playing with you. But if you argue
against almost everything people will not play with you and that is very bad
sportsmanship.
Having good sportsmanship is important to me because without it
there would be so much fighting in sports instead of just having teamwork,
integrity, competition, making friends and having fun playing the game you
love. This is what sportsmanship means to me and why it is important to people
in any type of games.

What sportsmanship means to
me is that when you lose a game you are not supposed to go up to the other team
and say ha ha you lost and we won 42-32. Or even say
man we lost, I am not shaking his hand with them because they beat us 42-32. Players
should not say that their team played a horrible game or that they stink as a team
or that they are worst team in the
Now from the coach’s point of
view they also are not supposed to argue with the referees or only play their best
players through the whole game. Coaches should have equal minutes for each
player even though they might not be able to make an open lay up. Coaches
should not yell at the team for losing. Coaches should not say I am not shaking
the players or the other coaches’ hand or even saying good game because they are
not happy about losing the game. A coach should not a fight with other coaches
or even say “We beat you and you and you are just plain losers”. Coaches should
not make fun of other players or laugh at the score in the other teams face or
say bad jokes about them or even tell the other team that there is no way you
guys are going to go far in the playoffs or win the championship!!!

What Sportsmanship means to me?
To me
"Sportsmanship" means cheering your teammates if they do something
great or a leader that shows the way. If you say who's the leader on my team
the Warriors, I would say me, Jerry Joseph. I show a lot of "Sportsmanahip" in many ways. As a center I tell them
where they are susposed to be and what they did wrong
on the last possession. I also encourage them to take a shot. For example, we
were down by five points and I saw someone on my team that had the ball. He was
going to drive in but I told him to shoot from the three point line because I
had faith in his shot. After, the outcome was great because he made his shot.
"Sportsmanship"
also means playing clean and handling both victory or defeat with grace, style,
and dignity. Its playing fair, respecting the referees judgment on the call and
always respecting your opponent. Respecting your opponent is the easiest out of
all. The saying ,"treat others with the same respect you want to be
treated with" comes in hand. If you shake your opponents hand at the end
if the game, you have respect for them. Also there is no bragging or making a
type of scene when you score or do a move.
There are always three things you learn about about
"Sportsmanship" respect, pride, and dignity. You always have to
respect your opponent. Show you have pride in your teammates when playing. Show
you have dignity for the game of basketball. Those three words show what
"Sportsmanship" means to the opponent and yourself. One important
thing about "Sportsmanship" is that at the end of the day you will
always have Respect, Pride, and Dignity in your opponent.

What Sportsmanship Means To Me
Sportsmanship is important to me. It means
to play fair and to have respect. I am pretty sure that you will require some
good sportsmanship or else you can’t play sports. Team mates do not like a sore
loser. You can’t always not win and be irritable all the time and show bad
sportsmanship. Without sportsmanship, sports would be no fun at all. It is
great to have good sportsmanship in every sport, especially basket ball. People
from all over the world love this game as much as I do.
If you can’t show appreciation to people
new at basketball like me, you could ruin their effort in playing basketball.
You do not know if this person could one day be in the NBA and you are just
making them have are harder to time getting there with poor sportsmanship. I am
ok at basketball but I try to give a lot of sportsmanship. I would not like it
if some treated me with poor sportsmanship and make a mockery of me and the
game of basketball because it’s a team sport.
